There is nothing better than a classic home-made bake, a deliciously crunchy-on-the-outside, chewy-on-the-inside flapjack!
This recipe reminds me of the INCREDIBLE flapjacks we used to get at secondary school from the canteen! They go perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee, or as an afternoon treat in your lunchbox, and the smell when they bake is delightful!
Don't try to cut the flapjacks into squares or bars, until they have fully cooled - the butter will need to firm back up to hold the oats together, otherwise you'll be cutting into an oaty mess!
