About Me...

Hopefully, if I have built the website correctly *crosses fingers*, you should find a collection of my own recipes, perfect for every season!  You'll also find some restaurant reviews,  travel tips and some recommendations, which should make your Gluten Free life a bit easier!   Plus, I have plenty of ideas and recipes you can use if you're entertaining, hosting or celebrating a special occassion!

This is a question I have been asked a lot, and the answer is no!  

The idea for The Gluten Free Life For Me started when I met my other half, Jack, he's coeliac and has been for almost fifteen years!  As I mentioned above, I am a massive foodie, and so going out for meals, I'm a food "sharer", I like to try everything new on the menu.  I also love cooking and baking.  It seemed like a natural move, so I decided to cut gluten out, so that we could eat together, minimise the risk of cross contamination and enjoy trying plenty of new foods!  (I went in blind - not knowing the perils of GF bread!)  I had to learn how to cook and bake Gluten Free, and noticed that in adjusting my own diet, I felt a lot better in myself and came to learn I am gluten intolerant!  

When we started planning our first Gluten Free Disney holiday (scheduled for September 2020), I searched every menu and snack list and Oh Boy! Treats Galore!  Our plans to travel were pushed back, much like everyone else's, but I didn't let that stop me bringing a bit of the Disney Parks home.  Here you'll find plenty of recipes for a Gluten Free version of 'non-gluten free' theme park foods, so you'll never have to miss out!
